The Ulmia marking gauge is made from select White Beech with an Ironwood (Lignum Vitae) fence. The two scribing rods are inlaid with a metric scale and the scribing pins are made of hardened steel. Rods are secured independently by two brass thumbscrews. The removable curved fence is used when scribing curved surfaces.
