ECE Primus Rabbet Plane

Description

The E.C.Emmerich Primus Rabbet Plane has a Hornbeam body, an Ironwood (Lignum Vitae) sole and an adjustable mouth. The “Primus” iron adjustment mechanism is all metal and excellently machined. Simply turn the adjusting knob clockwise for a thicker shaving and counter-clockwise for thinner. There is no backlash or slop in the system due to a large spring in the heel which keeps tension against the adjuster. The Ironwood soles glides over your work better than any metal plane can. This plane is 280mm (11”) long with a 30mm (1 1/8”) iron width and a cutting angle of 50 degrees. All wood and metal construction. Made in Germany.
